Why test? Alkalinity, calcium and magnesium are what corals use to build their skeletons. If they swing, stony corals can stall or lose colour. Nitrate and phosphate tell you how much nutrient is in the water. Too much fuels algae and too little can starve corals. Regular testing lets you spot a problem early, set your dosing with confidence and change one thing at a time rather than guessing.
